Aluminum Candle + Refill

Brief
Research, design, and product development of a re-usable aluminum candle collection.

Description
The aluminum candle was designed for A BETTER FEELING as a re-fillable scented candle with a fitted lid that functions dually as a candle snuffer. The jagged edges of the rim reference mountain peaks in the Eastern Sierras, which were the basis of the fragrance inspiration. The structure is created with two solid blocks of alumnium which arethen CNCed to create two perfectly fitted halves of the vessel. The graphics illustrated on the vessel depict the structure of a flame and a written description of the combustion process. I also led the fragrance development of the 3 scents, created with a fragrance atelier in Grasse, France.
